Bracelets get most of the attention, but some of the best watches we sell come on rubber. They’re lighter, more comfortable on a hot day and easier to live with on holiday, and the modern ones look properly finished rather than sporty-cheap.
“It’s not all about the full bracelet watches here at Kettle Club. We also have a lovely range of rubber strap watches here too.” Ollie
We asked Ollie for his top three rubber-strap watches from what’s in stock right now. Here they are, with prices.
1. Rolex Daytona 126519LN Meteorite

White gold Daytona on Rolex’s Oysterflex strap, with a meteorite dial. Rolex describes it as the only Cosmograph Daytona in its catalogue with a meteorite dial. Each dial is cut from a real meteorite, so the crystalline pattern is different every time.
“What I love about these watches is the fact that no two dials are the same. I think that’s a really, really nice touch.”
- Year: 2026, unworn
- Price: £74,500

2. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 26238TI

A 42mm titanium Royal Oak Offshore with a khaki green dial on a matching khaki strap. Inside is AP’s calibre 4404, a flyback chronograph with 70 hours of power reserve. The case is 15.3mm thick, but titanium keeps it lighter than it looks.
The strap system is the clever bit. It’s an interchangeable design you can swap by hand, and this one comes with a second black strap.
“They’ve designed it a little bit like Cartier, where you can actually take off the strap and put a new one on it.” Ollie
Sam is a fan too. He calls it a proper man’s AP: rugged and perfect for every day. He puts AP’s current retail at around £34,000. Ours is a 2022, in immaculate condition.
- Year: 2022
- Price: £27,500

3. Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A

The steel Aquanaut on its textured composite strap. At 40.8mm wide and only 8.1mm thick, with Patek’s calibre 26-330 S C, it’s the dressiest watch on this list. It still wears like a sports watch.
“Doesn’t get much smarter than this. Really, really nice looking watch. Lovely thin profile.” Ollie
- Year: 2020
- Price: £66,500
Prefer a bracelet? Patek dropped the steel-bracelet Aquanaut 5167/1A in 2025, and we have a 2021 example in stock.
Under £10,000: Santos de Cartier WSSA0037
Want the rubber-strap look without the five-figure price? The Santos WSSA0037 has a steel case with a black ADLC bezel, and comes with both a steel bracelet and a black rubber strap. Cartier’s QuickSwitch lets you change between them in seconds. Ours is a 2026, unworn, at £7,850, which is under Cartier’s £8,250 retail.
Is rubber right for you?
- Comfort: rubber is lighter and doesn’t pull at arm hair. It’s the better choice for summer, travel and the gym.
- Versatility: the Offshore and the Santos both have tool-free strap changes, so one watch can do rubber in the day and leather or steel in the evening.
- Durability: rubber shrugs off sweat and water far better than leather, so it’s the strap to wear on holiday.
