Every watch Kettle Club sells is pre-owned. That is not a compromise on buying new — for most of the references people actually want, it is the only way to buy at all.
Why buy pre-owned
Availability. Waiting lists at authorised dealers run for years on the most requested Rolex references, and some are simply never offered. A pre-owned watch is available today.
Discontinued references. A great many of the best watches are no longer made. The Hulk Submariner, the aluminium-bezel Coke GMT and the Celebration dial exist only on the pre-owned market.
Value. A watch that has already been owned has taken whatever depreciation it was going to take. Many hold their value, and some have appreciated.
How we authenticate
Before any watch is listed it is inspected and authenticated in-house by our watchmakers: a multi-point physical inspection of case, dial, hands, bezel, crown and bracelet under magnification; the movement opened and the calibre checked against the manufacturer’s specification for that reference; and serial and reference verification. We do not knowingly sell replicas, counterfeits, or watches assembled from non-original parts.

Box, papers and what is included
Every listing states exactly what comes with the watch — full set, watch and box, or watch only. Box and papers affect value and resale, but their absence does not make a watch any less genuine. Our guide to box and papers explains the terms.
Warranty and delivery
Each watch carries a 12-month Kettle Club warranty covering the movement and mechanical function under normal use, and is fully insured in transit. Exclusions and claims are covered on our warranty and insurance page.
