Celebration Dial
The Celebration dial is the Oyster Perpetual with coloured bubbles scattered across it, launched in 2023 and discontinued far sooner than anyone expected. It appeared in 41mm as the 124300 and in smaller sizes including the 126000. It divided opinion completely on release and then became one of the most sought-after Oyster Perpetuals Rolex has made. Discontinuation only sharpened that. Read our note on whether the Celebration dial is really discontinued.

Pre-owned Rolex Celebration dial
The Celebration dial is the Oyster Perpetual scattered with coloured bubbles — introduced in 2023, and immediately the most divisive dial Rolex has made in years. It appears on the 41mm reference 124300 and the 36mm 126000.
People call it the bubble dial or the balloon dial as often as the Celebration dial. Whatever you call it, it is bought for the dial and nothing else: underneath it is the plainest watch in the catalogue.
A deliberate break from Rolex’s usual restraint
The Oyster Perpetual has no date and no complication, which leaves the dial doing all the work. The Celebration dial takes that to its conclusion, covering the surface in lacquered bubbles in the same palette Rolex had already used for its single-colour Oyster Perpetual dials. It is the least conservative thing the brand puts on a steel sports case, and reaction to it splits almost evenly.
Sizes and what changes between them
The 41mm 124300 is the one most people picture. The 36mm 126000 is the more wearable proportion for a smaller wrist and, being smaller, reads slightly busier because the bubbles sit closer together. The case, bracelet and movement are otherwise standard Oyster Perpetual.
What to check
These are recent watches, so a full set is normal — confirm the card matches the case number. Examine the lacquer under angled light for any crazing or lifting at the bubble edges, which is the only dial-specific concern worth spending time on.
